Liam Delap has agreed to join Chelsea on a six year contract.
Delap 22, will move to Enzo Maresca’s side after the Stamford Bridge club agreed to trigger his €35 million (£30m) release clause.
Delap move to Chelsea is expected to be made public any time as he has undergone medical tests , the move will keep him at the club until 2031.
Several clubs in the English top flight including; Man United, Everton and Newcastle United were chasing the 22-year old signature after his impressive season at Ipswich Town.
Liam Delap who joined Ipswich Town from Pep’s City team impressed many in his sole season at Portman Road, scoring 12 goals in 37 appearances for the club.
Chelsea hope Liam Delap will replicate and build on his Ipswich Town performance.
