The Ajuran community professionals in Isiolo County have elected new leaders to steer their association, in a meeting marked by calls for unity and collective progress.
During the gathering, members drawn from various professional sectors voted in Hassanur Mallow as the Chairperson, with Shamim Abdulahi taking the position of Vice Chairperson.
Other officials elected include Hassan Abdisalan as Secretary, Mohamed Maow as Organizing Secretary, and Zeinab Hassan as Treasurer.
The leadership team was formally endorsed by Abikar Mohamed, the overall Ajuran Community Chairman, who congratulated the officials and urged them to prioritize integrity, inclusivity, and mentorship of the younger generation. Mr. Abikar further promised to work closely with the elected team to ensure unity and the advancement of the community’s interests.
In his remarks, Mr. Abikar emphasized the importance of unity, saying the professionals have a critical role in uplifting the socio-economic wellbeing of the Ajuran community.
Speaking on behalf of the elected team, Chairperson Hassanur Mallow pledged to work closely with colleagues and community members to promote development and ensure Ajuran professionals have a stronger voice in county and national matters.
The meeting ended with a unanimous call for unity of purpose, with leaders and members resolving to foster cohesion and collaboration for the progress of Isiolo County and the wider community
