President William Ruto has rewarded every Gor Mahia player and member of the club’s technical bench with KSh100,000 and pledged KSh10 million to the club following their triumph in the 2025/26 FKF Premier League season.
The announcement was made during a celebratory event held at State House, Nairobi, where the President hosted the league champions to recognize their outstanding performance throughout the season.
Ruto congratulated the team for reclaiming the league title and praised the players, coaching staff, management and supporters for their commitment to Kenyan football. He noted that the club’s success was a reflection of discipline, hard work and determination.
“Nitapanga kila mmoja wenu aondoke hapa na Shilingi Laki Moja” Alafu Chairman atanipa Acc. Nitatuma Milioni 10 ya klabu” the President said during the event.
The financial reward was received with excitement by the players and club officials, who described it as a significant morale boost ahead of the team’s upcoming continental assignments.
Gor Mahia secured the FKF Premier League title after a consistent campaign that saw them outperform their rivals and finish at the top of the standings.
