Kenyan airline Fly748 has committed KSh3 million towards the second edition of Run 4 Seniors, becoming the latest corporate partner to back efforts aimed at improving the welfare of vulnerable elderly people across the country.
The airline announced its Diamond Sponsorship on Monday, saying the funding will support the organisation of the charity run scheduled for July 18, 2026, at Karura Forest in Nairobi.
Organised by Mama Ibado Charity, the annual event seeks to raise funds and awareness for senior citizens living in underserved communities in Isiolo and Kakamega counties, where many elderly people struggle with food insecurity, limited access to healthcare and social isolation.
The latest sponsorship brings renewed momentum to this year’s event, which has attracted growing support from Kenya’s corporate sector, with institutions including KCB and Sidian Bank also coming on board.

Fly748.com Head of Scheduled Services George Oduor said the airline’s decision reflects its commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society.
“Our senior citizens have played an important role in shaping our society and deserve to age with dignity, care and support. We are honoured to partner with Mama Ibado Charity in this noble cause and invite Kenyans from all walks of life to join Run 4 Seniors and make every step count,” he said.
Mama Ibado Charity Director Amb. Dr. Amina Mohamed welcomed the sponsorship, describing it as a significant boost to programmes supporting elderly people facing poverty and neglect.
She said proceeds from the charity run will strengthen the organisation’s Seniors Feeding Programme and Healthcare Programme, which provide monthly food supplies, access to medication, medical services and community-based support for vulnerable older persons.
As part of the partnership, Fly748.com will also help promote the event through its communication platforms while offering a 10 percent discount on flight tickets to participants who register for the run.
The organisers expect this year’s edition to attract hundreds of runners, corporate teams and development partners, further cementing Run 4 Seniors as one of Kenya’s leading charity sporting events focused on restoring dignity, improving healthcare and enhancing the wellbeing of the country’s ageing population.
