Sidian Bank Sponsors Run 4 Seniors with KSh2 Million Boost

Mama Ibado Charity (MIC) has received a KSh2 million sponsorship from Sidian Bank to support the second edition of the Run 4 Seniors event scheduled for July 18, 2026, at Karura Forest in Nairobi.

The sponsorship is expected to strengthen efforts aimed at improving the welfare, healthcare, nutrition and dignity of vulnerable senior citizens across Kenya.

Sidian Bank joins a growing list of partners supporting this year’s event, underscoring increased corporate commitment to addressing the challenges facing Kenya’s ageing population and ensuring older persons live dignified lives.

Run 4 Seniors seeks to raise awareness and mobilize resources for programs that support the health, nutrition and social welfare needs of vulnerable elderly people. The event is expected to attract corporates, development partners, community groups and hundreds of participants united by a common goal of promoting inclusion and dignity for senior citizens.

Speaking during the sponsorship announcement, Mama Ibado Charity President Ahmed Jibril welcomed the partnership, describing it as a significant boost to the organization’s efforts to support elderly people in need.

“We are delighted to welcome Sidian Bank as a partner in this year’s Run 4 Seniors. Their generous contribution will go a long way in helping us expand our reach and deepen the impact of our programmes for elderly persons across the country,” said Jibril.

Sidian Bank Chief Executive Officer John Okulo said the sponsorship aligns with the bank’s commitment to transforming lives and creating positive impact within communities.

“At Sidian Bank, we recognize that strong communities are built when every generation is valued and supported. Run 4 Seniors presents an opportunity for us to contribute to a cause that uplifts some of the most vulnerable members of society,” said Okulo.
